Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded more than two hundred years ago, November 1, 1776, as the 7th of 21 missions. It is a monument to California’s multi-cultural history, embracing its Native American, Spanish, Mexican and European heritage. Dedicated in 1901, this 30,000-square-foot granite and sandstone building was the traditional home of county government. Today, it has been restored to look as it did at the turn of the last century. The building contains the Old Courthouse Museum, Orange County Archives, and the library of the Pacific Coast Archaeological Society. |

The Vietnam War Memorial Project was initiated by Westminster City Councilman Frank G. Fry in 1997. A committee was formed to select a sculptor/designer.Tuan Nguyen, a renowned sculptor/designer was unanimously chosen to sculpt the statue and design the immediate surroundings.
